Hello everyone. I am new to these forums. Not new to aquariums though, I've had setups on and off for the better part of the past 20 years. Never ventured into killies but it seems I have been bitten by a weird new bug. Been reading all I could about them online.

Previously my tanks have featured community setups, a dedicated guppy tank and turtles.

I live in Michigan about 30 miles North of Detroit (have my entire life excluding my enlisted time). Anyway, I am hoping to find some local breeders to get in touch with and gather some more insight into killies and perhaps pick up some nice starter killies as none of the pet stores in this area have any kind of killies and are reluctant to place an order for me due to the number of fish they would have to order.

Welcome. I'll have my partner Brian contact you next month when he gets back from Peru. He's big into killies, and actually is scheduled to speak at the national show in 2011. We're in Oregon, not too close (haha), but he could probably give you some info.

Do a web search for Michigan Killifish Association and find out when their next monthly meeting is. If you come to that meeting, you'll go home very happy, I guarantee that.
