Finally I figured out that if I put apple snails in my algae filled pond they spit out egg clusters like a mutha....problem is my pond is lined with concrete pavers and those eggs above the waterline seem to dry into "coco puffs" in the 90F heat....

...Q.is there a way to hatch them? I was thinking like in a closed jar with a lil water for humidity....

Also, VERY few babies seem to live to adults in my tanks...as it is, I've been barley able to keep em going for 3yrs now...what do I feed the babies?

My mystery snails laid 4 clutches in my 30 long once.

I put them in a shallow plastic food container with just a bit of water and set the container on a slope so the eggs weren't in the water. They hatched and then I had to figure out what to do with all those baby snails.

Mine love Plecocaine, Lohachata's algae wafers, french cut canned green beans, and yellow or zucchini squash slices.

I hatch mine with the same procedure as underwhelmed only I use a soaking wet paper towel in the bottom and swap out the paper towel every now and then.

Hello Comrade, I think when you feed snails is just as important than what you feed them. I make a point of feeding all my tanks with snails in them right before I turn my tank lights off about 3 times a week.

OK, "I'm disturbed"... you happy now? :wall:

..with this new found knowledge, me and that commie will produce loads of snails; I'll go tell Chairman
