my crayfish just hatched a crap load of babies. what is the best thing to feed them?

They will eat just about anything, but I feed mine as if they were plecos or snails.

I feed mine Hikari Crab Cuisine, Plecocaine, canned green beans, and sometimes slices of yellow or zucchini squash.

The adults like fresh carrots and they don't get mushy and foul the water.

I also use my marbled crayfish tank to get rid of any extra duckweed, plant trimmings (yellowed leaves from crypts, etc) or to remove algae from items kept in other tanks.

Yeah, I marbles make quick work of plants... Learned the hard way.

Yeah, they will graze on sponge filters too if you don't keep them fed well enough.

Same here they trimmed out a whole 20 long overnight. Woke up and saw every plant floating.

I don't do anything special for babies they pick up all the little crap they can find on the bottom.

I just got a blue one and it dropped about 50 babies, hope some of them grow out blue.
