    Marmokreb Life Span

I recently had a thread about marmokreb not cloning. Yesterday that same marmokreb molted. She seemed to be having a very hard time shedding her shell but eventually succeeded. Her new shell was lighter in color than her old one. About 16 hours later My wife commented that her head and claws were almost white. She was moving but slowly. An hour later I saw her in her cave lying on her side. She was thoroughly dead! She was almost exactly one year old. I got her as a freebie from Pete about the 10th of Jan. 2011. She was one of two that Pete sent. We have thoroughly enjoyed many hours of watching "Molly" grow and her antics over the past year.

"Minnie" was placed in another tank many months ago. There is nothing in the tank that would bother her but I did notice the baby guppies could pick stuff off her to eat and she allowed this. That would not have been tolerated a week or so ago.

Pete has is "Satisfaction guarantee". Do you think I should complain (LOL)!!!

We will get another but just wondered if any of you had any idea?
