What The Hell Is That?
There is a 3/4 mile stretch of Martin Luther King Drive
on the East Side of Gary, Indiana that never has been developed.
So some damn people thought that meant they could dump
old tires, mattresses, dead bodies, furniture, whatever, out there.
Right in the middle of this stretch of road
was what looked like nothing more than a draining ditch
Where I remember as a kid seeing old folks sitting in lawn chairs
with big straw hats and cane poles, fishing and catching Bullhead Catfish
