He was a good man that stood up for what he believed in. May he rest in peace.

Very, very sad news! Swampy was a good man, a proud veteran, and a great patriot. We agreed on very little, if anything politically, but we shared in a belief of service to our country and will always be brothers in arms. My deepest condolences to all who loved him. He will be missed.

So sad to hear this news. I had not kept up with him over the past year. Things always seem to pop up and so it was put off.I will regret that grave mistake. Kurt was a fantastic soul, even if he disagreed with you, he was always ready to give a helping hand, be it money or sound advice. I will miss him deeply. Rip in peace

Very sad news. I knew there was a problem when he quit using the boards here. He helped me see the light and I will never forget him. RIP my friend.

I put Swampy on my bucket list! And I made it to Mississippi to spend some time with him before my health bottomed out. I was in bad shape but I made it. I can say the last time I was able to go fishing was in August 2009. In Mississippi with Swampy and Moosey. Swampy was so for real and down to earth, that when he would happen to mention some mind blowing “been there done that” story, and there were many. Ol boy got around! It was like 🤷‍♂️ it was no different than describing picking up branches out the yard after a heavy wind. With Much Love and Respect!

Swampy reminded me of Neil Young
